FISHING AND FARMING AREN'T WHAT THEY USED TO BE...

Phishing and pharming is a technique that fraudsters use to "trick" you into giving them your account information, primarily credit card or debit card.  They do this by sending you an email, asking you to click a link and verify your card information.  One of the most popular ruses is Paypal but there are many more out there.  They then use your information to to drain your account.

As an account holder, you should be aware that you will never be solicited to provide or verify information via email, or even by phone, and no one should ever be given your PIN number under any circumstances.  If you receive an email requesting any such information, please report it to either reportphishing@antiphishing.org or the Federal Trade Commission at spam@uce.gov to have their links shut down to prevent others from falling for their ruse.  If you think that you have been a victim of phishing or pharming, please contact us immediately.

 

 

 

                          

 

Our Home Banking product is changing! 

If you are a current user of Home Banking, you have probably already noticed we added eStatements to the services provided online.  This allows you to receive your statements via email notification instead of regular postal mail.  How is this better for you?  In so many ways!  This will allow you to have access to your statement earlier in the month, as you will get your notice to view your statement when the paper statements are just beginning the printing process.  This means you can have your statement about a week earlier than you are use too!  Not only that, but accessing  your statement online prevents your account information from potentially being compromised via postal mail, and you will still have the option to print it, save it to disk, or both!  Just think of all the space you will save by not having all those bulky pages to keep up with! 

 
 In addition to the free eStatements, we have also added the ability to see images of check items that have posted to your account via our Home Banking product.  To see your items, all you have to do is view the history on your draft account, click on the highlighted check number, next to the small check image icon, and the image will display in a pop-up window.  That window will allow you to see the front and the back of the check, and then you can either print it or save it to disk as well.  Best of all, this service is free too! 
 
 
How may I direct your call?
 
That is not always what you need to hear when you call us for help, that is why when your call is answered, we have in place persons ready to answer your questions or get you to the proper person who can!  Our Call Center, housed here in branch, is staffed by "Those in the Know".  If you need to know a balance, make a transfer, or have questions about items that have cleared on your account, they are there ready to help.  Need to apply for a loan?  They know exactly who to put you in touch with!  Or maybe, you are not sure of who you need to talk with.  They are there to listen to your question or problem and get you to the right person.
