  • Open the app and on the left-hand menu, select Remote Deposit.
  • Select the AFCU account (savings, checking or Easy Access) you would like to deposit the check into.
  • Enter the amount of the deposit.
  • Take a picture of the front and back of the check.
  • Confirm the deposit information and submit.

Quick Tips

  • Taking a clear, legible picture of your check:
  • Place the check on a dark surface
  • Take the photo near a natural light source rather than using the flash
  • While we do not need to receive your physical checks, we recommend keeping them in a safe place for 30 days after depositing via mobile check deposit.

Checks will be available based on our funds availability policy.  Checks $200 or less deposited before 2:00 pm CT on a business day (every day except Saturdays, Sundays, and federal holidays) are normally available for withdrawal on the next business day.  For checks greater than $200 deposited before 2:00 pm CT on a business day, the first $200 will be available for withdrawal on the next business day.  The remainder will be available on the third business day after the day of deposit.

A daily limit of $5,000 applies to mobile deposit.  If you have checks totaling more than $5,000, please visit the credit union or one of our service center locations.

What is mobile wallet?

How does a mobile wallet work?

Mobile wallets work through an app on your device and stores your credit or debit card information securely so that you can make purchases online, through apps or at any compatible card reader.

How do you make purchases using a mobile wallet?

When you check out at participating merchants, access the mobile wallet and choose your card. If you’re making an in-store purchase, just hold your mobile device up to the compatible card reader.
